Update : the manger was super cool and let me just do an even exchange no problem. Let’s hope these ones are better!
So I bought brand new Bosch icon wiper blades last week and yesterday they warped to the point where they don’t make contact with the windshield at all. Place your bets on whether or not AutoZone will exchange the defective items or they’ll say it’s somehow my fault and I’ll have to pay to replace them on my own

Thats not comforting to hear. Bosch Icons are my go to. The Stringbean has had a pair that's laster years and I just bought a pair for the truck.

I tried to be fancy once and bought Bosch wiper blades. Lasted about 3 weeks before only the center part made contact with the glass.
I bought from Amazon though. Autozone might replace them for you.
Always use rainX brand now.

Yeah all I did was flip them up the other night cause it was going to snow and I didn’t want them freezing to the windshield and and when I went to put them back down there was like an eigth inch gap between the middle of the blade and the glass. Serves me right for not going with my gut and buying the Meijer brand beam blades that I’ve had really good luck with but I had gift cards to AutoZone and really needed new wipers

Lol in my case the center part is the part that won't make contact. Only the ends. I've had great luck with Meijer brand blades (it's a local chain around here kinda like target) but I had AutoZone gift cards and really needed new wipers

I’m on my second set of Bosch wipers. They seem to work fine.

Yesterday mine were the same way, touching on both ends but not the middle. Then, later in the day they were fine. It was really strange, but maybe yours did something similar and the spine contracted in the cold? Good luck!

I’ve had that happen with the far edge of the passenger side blade before due to the contour of the window. But do you think its due to the extreme cold (assuming you are in one of those areas) and the cold is keeping them stiffer so they dont lay flat? They could be defective but i’m just throwing out a possibility

Single piece wiper blade assemblies were never good for extreme weather to begin with. I have a pair of icons, they work well, but since I'm going to refill my wiper fluid with RainX, I'm going to probably pick up RainX blades later this year.

I’ve had the best luck with the most inexpensive rain-x traditional wiper blades. Granted, my vehicle is a ‘97, but these seem to get the best coverage. I don’t mind replacing them every 8-12 months either.

That will teach you...
I’ve used Michelin from Costco in the past, they usually last 2 or 3 years before they get replaced. OEM ones on the Tacoma seem alright, but this winter has been pretty easy on them.

Center not touching sounds more like insufficient downward pressure from the wiper arm itself on your car. Never had issues with the aero blades on my old car going weird ever..

But they were fine for a week. Luckily they just let me exchange it no problem

My last experience with Autozone and trying to warranty things ended with them telling me that they will no longer respond to my calls about warranty the part.
No big deal it was only a timing chain tensioner that came apart in a way that they deemed was impossible because there is no possible way for that C clip to break and come out of the tensioner.

Lol, two or three years!? Holy cow. I’m happy if I get 6 months out of a set of wipers before they start streaking too bad.

I’ve had that same issue with the longer blades, the over 24” ones. I’ve had an issue with different lines from the same manufacturer. Some just don’t play nice.

yeah - I really don’t know how those single beam blades can consistently work. Seems like they are designed not to stay against the windshield...

This is the first time I've ever had a problem
